SHEEP IN THE CITY!
ONE WEEK AWAY!
I AM FREAKING OUT!

A little more info on the conference: It'll be located at Comfort Suites at 6362 S. 13th St. Oak Creek,WI 53154. Goes from Friday Feb. 22nd to Sunday Feb. 24th. I will be there the whole time selling my yarn (pretty sure in the front lobby where people register and pay to get in).

EEEEEEEeeeee! This is the first con that Lady Purl Designs will be vending at. A real milestone. I've spend a lot of time preparing for this moment, literally a year of work in preparation. I may not have a lot in comparison to the other vendors with huge booths, but the little I have packs a punch. I was able to get a lot of the great vending accessories like stamped bags, labels, cards, and (my personal favorite) beautiful hand-built yarn trees to display my yarn! I feel like I will at least look professional even if my table is tiny and I don't have 700 skeins of yarn to display ^_^

Going to finish dying my last batch of undyed yarn!

Staghorn Scarf Pattern

Staghorn                                   The yarn you use and needle size probably doesn't make a lick of a difference. I used Vanna White's line of yarn because I loved the color, it was super soft, and cheap. It took 1 1/2 balls of yarn. I used size 10 1/2 needles (6.5 mm). Abbreviations: k: knit p: purl sl1kw: slip 1st stitch knit-wise sl1pw: slip 1st stitch purl-wise BC: place 2sts on a cable needle in the back, k2, k2 from cable needle FC: place 2sts on a cable needle in the front, k2, k2 from cable needle Cast on 30 stitches. Row 1 (WS and   all  other wrong side rows): sl1pw, k2, p2, k2, p16, k2, p2, k2, p1. Row 2: sl1kw, p2, k2, p2, k4, BC, FC, k4, p2, k2, p2, k1.  Row 4: sl1kw,  p2, k2, p2, k2, BC, k4, FC, k2, p2, k2, p2, k1. Row 6: sl1kw,  p2, k2, p2, BC, k8, FC, p2, k2,  p2...

How to waste $28 worth of yarn.

1. Don't gauge a damn thing. 2. Just wing the entire pattern like an idiot. 3. Throw it in the washer to give it a "light felt" for 5-10 minutes, but then proceed to forget about it for an hour. 4. Shrink it so it's so small nothing fits in it... >. IN OTHER NEWS. I got my first non-mom haircut ever, and my first one in 12 years! BEFORE: AFTER: I
